About This Spot

Walking into Cucho's Taco Grille feels like stepping into an inviting neighborhood hub where warmth and familiarity gently wrap around you. The pace is unhurried, letting conversation flow easily over the clink of plates and the quiet sizzle from the kitchen. Here, you don’t just grab a quick bite—you settle into a rhythm that’s as much about community as it is about the food.

Owned by a father and son team, this Mauldin gem carries a genuine sense of family, evident in every detail—from the friendly nods at the counter to the lively hum of shared moments at nearby tables. The space reflects that same spirit: clean and comfortable, with a subtle bustle that invites connection without overwhelming the senses.

The experience of dining at Cucho’s is deeply rooted in the authenticity of its flavors. The freshness of the ingredients shines through in every bite, whether you're savoring a vibrant bowl brimming with layered textures or indulging in a quesadilla bursting with carefully marinated meats. The salsa bar lends a personal touch, beckoning you to explore smoky, tangy, and spicy notes that complement rather than overpower.

The menu’s heart lies in its balance—a meeting place between classic street eats and dishes that surprise with their thoughtful combinations, like the delicate sweetness of their street corn or the rich, satisfying layers of their quesadilla birria. Even familiar favorites carry a distinct personality here, reflecting a genuine respect for traditional Mexican flavors while embracing the spirit of home-cooked comfort.

Whether you’re dropping in for a midday meal or lingering over shared plates with friends and family, Cucho’s invites you to savor more than just food. It’s a spot where atmosphere and flavor intermingle, making each visit feel like stepping into a familiar story that’s always welcoming new chapters.

Owned by a father/son duo, Cucho’s Taco Grille makes you feel like you are a part of the family from the moment you walk in. Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic service, and fantastic food…. there’s not much else you can ask for. in the dozen or so times i’ve eaten here, i have never been disappointed, and i don’t think that will change any time soon!

We ordered nachos and a burrito. Salsa bar had several sauce options. Restaurant was clean. It was around 11:30 on a Monday, so it wasn't busy. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. Prices were reasonable for the portion sizes. The burrito was full of meat, rice, and toppings. Nachos had a good meat and cheese and topping ratio.
